TERATONE 467 is a color enhancing, deep penetrating, solvent based acrylic sealer. TERATONE will enhance the natural colors of stone, while forming a durable, stain resistant barrier across the surface. TERATONE 467 is very effective outdoors, protecting surfaces from UV rays and weathering.

Surfaces treated with TERATONE will have their colors enhanced with a satin finish. TERATONE is very effective in refreshing the appearance of old and faded stone surfaces. TERATONE dries slower than the average sealer, allowing it to penetrate deeply and effectively before setting.

TERATONE is very effective at sealing and protecting dense or smooth surfaces such as quarry tile, unglazed ceramic tile, slate, unfinished marble, terrazzo, travertine, smooth cement, shell stone, limestone, and all other cementitious materials. Also suitable for brick, brick pavers, concrete pavers, and exposed aggregate. For interior or exterior use.

SURFACES WHERE TERATONE 467 EXCELS:

  • Outdoor Surfaces: TERATONE 467 excels against the constant threats faced by outdoor surfaces. TERATONE 467 protects from the effects of weathering, rain, and UV damage.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Always be sure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any dirt, grease, oil, wax, or other contaminants. Read the entire label before using. Use only as directed. Always test on a small piece of material or a small inconspicuous area to determine suitability. Ensure the area is well ventilated. Ideal surface temperature should be between 60°F and 80°F. Product works best when it is the first substance applied to the surface, insuring proper penetration.

APPLICATION:

For best results, apply TERATONE 467 with a short nap paint roller(1/4”- 1/2”). Spread in thin coats, evenly and uniformly, leaving no puddles. Allow 8-24 hours to dry before adding a second coat. May also be applied with spray applicator, natural fiber paint brush, roller, or lint free rag.

CLEANUP

Xylene or similar solvent can be used to clean tools.

SEAL Rx ENHANCE

Seal RX Enhance Stone Sealer is a heavy duty, solvent based, silane-siloxane designed to enhance color, impart water repellency and stain resistance to a wide variety of natural stone, concrete and aggregate surfaces.  The silanes react chemically and bond with the substrate to form an insoluble water-resistant treatment within 24-72 hours after application.

RECOMMENDED USES:

For properly prepared, unsealed natural stone, concrete walls, foundations, pre-cast concrete, block, brick and most aggregate surfaces.

 

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Dirt, grease, grime and any foreign material must be removed before application of SEAL Rx ENHANCE.  Treat surface for mildew.  Oil and grease should be scrubbed with a solution of TSP and water.

 

APPLICATION INFORMATION:  

Apply with brush, roller, airless sprayer or pump sprayer.  When spraying, use a tip designed for gloss coatings.  Apply when surface and air temperatures are above 32 Deg. F and rising.  Do not apply if the threat of rain exists.  Do not over apply or allow product to puddle.

 

  • Always apply a test sample to insure compatibility
  • Do not apply to a surface that was previously treated with another product
  • Take care to cover nearby vegetation, glass, plastic and metals. Seal RX 580 may damage them.
  • May be applied to damp surface, however, do not apply when standing water is present

 

SEAL Rx ENHANCE requires different application methods for smooth and porous/rough surfaces.

 

Smooth surfaces:

  1. Apply with brush, roller or spray
  2. Allow to sit for 30-45 minutes
  3. Wipe off excess material with a t-shirt type material. The excess should be removed similar to removing wax from a car.

 

Porous/Rough surfaces: No wiping is necessary as long as product penetrated and no puddles or excess material is visible.

 

 

RECOMMENDED THINNER:

SEAL Rx ENHANCE does not require thinning and should be used as is, directly from the container.

Clean Up: Clean up drips and spills immediately using any type of solvent.  Clean tools and equipment with any type of solvent.

 

Coverage (Theoretical): Coverage will depend on porosity and contour of the surface being coated.  Coverage typically averages 600-800 square feet per gallon.

 

Storage:  After use, make sure to seal lid tightly.  SEAL Rx ENHANCE will gel if left open.

 

Environmental & Safety Information:

Improper handling or use may be hazardous.  Recommended safety precautions for storage, handling and application must be observed.

 

DANGER: 

COMBUSTIBLE!  KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!

Contains flammable solvents.  Causes eye burns.  Vapor is harmful.  May cause allergic skin reaction.  Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.  Wear eye and skin protective equipment when handling.  Wear appropriate, properly fitted respirator (NIOSH.MSHA approved) during and after application unless air monitoring demonstrates vapor/mist levels are below applicable levels.  Follow respirator manufacturer’s recommendations for use.  Keep containers closed when not in use.

First Aid:  In case of eye contact, flush eyes immediately with plenty of fresh water for at least 15 minutes.  Call a physician.  If inhaled, remove to fresh air.  If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth to mouth and seek immediate medical assistance.  In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and fresh water.  Remove contaminated clothing and launder before use.  Discard shoes if material has penetrated inside surface.

Notice:  Reports have associated repeated and prolonged occupational overexposure to solvent with permanent brain and nervous system damage.  Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents may be harmful or fatal.
