APEX “Clear Seal” is a waterborne, extremely durable, easy to use, single component acrylic/hybrid which offers many of the high performance characteristics expected from the traditional two component epoxies without the odor, pre-mixing, pot life and application difficulties inherent in these products. In addition, unlike traditional one and two part epoxies, APEX ”Clear Seal” resists yellowing and discoloration of the dried film. APEX “Clear Seal” is designed for use as a protective finish and provides a hard, durable, mildew resistant and abrasion resistant film. APEX “Clear Seal” also provides resistance to hot tires.

Dirt, grease, grime and any foreign material must be removed before application of new coating. Insure surface is clean and dry. Treat for mildew using a solution of bleach and water. Oil and grease should be scrubbed with a detergent or a solution of TSP and water.
New and/or Unpainted Concrete: Allow to cure for at least 30 days prior to application and then etch with one part muriatic acid to four (4) parts water. For proper penetration and adhesion, surfaces must be etched until a porous profile is achieved. This typically requires the acid solution to stand for 10 – 15 minutes. After etching is complete, thoroughly scrub using a TSP solution or acid neutralizing detergent and then rinse clean with fresh water. Allow to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before sealing. Pressure washing is highly recommended.

Mix product thoroughly. Apply with brush roller or airless spray. Apply when surface temperatures are at least 50 deg. and rising. When spraying, use a tip designed for gloss coatings. Do not apply when the threat of rain exists or if moisture or dew may condense on the surface prior to the sealer curing. Do not over-apply, soak the concrete or allow the product to puddle. Two thin coats are recommended for best performance.
APEX 4600 does not require thinning and should be used as is, directly from the container.
