Paver Sealing Information and, Troubleshooting
What is a paver sealer? Paver sealer or paver sealant is designed to protect pavers from rain, snow, ice and even sun (although most pavers are designed to be UV resistant). Paver sealer creates an invisible layer on top of your pavers that repels water, oil and anything else you might accidentally drop, as long as you wash it away as soon as you notice it.
The following questions are ones customers frequently ask us and therefore decided to post as information we think everyone should have access to.
There are many reasons to seal your pavers. Sealer will protect pavers from harsh UV rays which over time will fade the colors of the pavers. Sealer will also make the surface of the pavers less absorbent. This means muddy shoes, bird droppings, spills, etc. are easier to clean with a hose. Our sealer will also enhance the natural color of your paver patio, driveway, and pool deck, and help prevent sand washout between the joints.
Approximately 2-3 years depending on conditions before cleaning and reapplication is needed.
Costs vary depending on the porosity of your brick pavers, the size of your paved area(s), and the labor involved.
