Best Paver Sealer
When it comes to sealing your pavers, you need to be careful. There are so many different types of paver sealers to choose from, and all of them will have an impact on the appearance and longevity of your pavers. So what’s the best paver sealer? We’ll look at some of the options below so that you can make an informed decision about what type is right for your home.
Choosing a paver sealer isn’t easy.
The first step to selecting the right paver sealer for your project is to know what type of pavers you have. There are three main types: concrete, cast stone and ceramic. Each one has its own unique characteristics that determine which type of sealer will be best for it.
- Concrete pavers come in numerous colors and shapes, but they’re all made with a cement mortar base that makes them heavier than their counterparts in other materials. Generally speaking, concrete pavers are used as patio surfaces due to their durability and low maintenance requirements; however, they can be used in driveways or walkways as well because they stand up well against heavy traffic.
- Cast stone is produced with a mixture of sandstone aggregate bonded together with resin into molds and then baked at high temperatures until hardened before being shaped into blocks or slabs for use on patios or other paved areas where heavy loads are expected underfoot such as parking lots or garages where cars may park daily without any protection between them (other than perhaps a strip of asphalt).
- Ceramic tiles make great applications wherever there’s little foot traffic since these tiles tend not to last long when exposed daily abuse from shoes scraping across them every day—this includes kitchens where greasy spoons might drip onto floors after cooking meals–but rather work better outdoors as decorative features around swimming pools where people don’t wear shoes anyway when lounging around poolside!
The type of pavers you choose will determine the type of paver sealers you can use.
If you have natural stone, for example, it is possible to use a natural paver sealer. Natural stone pavers require less maintenance than other types and can be sealed with a product that is safe for your health. The same goes for clay brick, which is also known as fired brick or clay face brick.
Clay bricks are very durable and don’t need much maintenance at all; however, if they do get damaged or wind up getting dirty from frequent use (or from being outdoors), then sealing them may be necessary in order to keep them looking good over time – especially if they’re used around an entranceway or porch area where people will be walking on them frequently (which could cause serious damage). On the other hand:
Concrete pavers can only really be sealed using chemical-based products (as opposed to natural ones). Some concrete paving materials are harder than others and some need more protection than others do when exposed to sun and rain conditions outside over long periods of time—so knowing what type of material you have before purchasing any kind of sealer makes sense because there aren’t many options available out there right now!
Paver sealers are used for many different reasons.
Paver sealers are used to protect pavers from UV rays, water damage and stains.
Pavers are an excellent choice for pathways and patios because they offer a strong alternative to concrete or asphalt. However, paver manufacturers recommend that you seal your pavers with a high-quality product every two years to keep them looking beautiful and prevent them from wearing down too quickly. If you have properly sealed pavers on your property then you can expect them to last 10+ years before needing replacement or repair work done on them.
Conclusion
As you can see, there are many different types of paver sealers. The type that you choose depends on the type of pavers that you have and how much money you want to spend on them.
